2010 REHEARSAL/EVENT SCHEDULE

THINGS TO REMEMBER 

  1. 2 Talent CD’s—Turn in on Saturday January 2nd (first and only track on CD)

  2. Production Number Outfit (Cocktail Dress - ED will tell you color) & Shoes—Saturday January 2nd

  3. Ticket Money—Turn into Treasurer at Dress Rehearsal Friday January 8th

  4. Bid-a-Basket—Turn into Treasurer at Dress Rehearsal Friday January 8th

  5. Contestant Contracts—Turn into Kindra at Dress Rehearsal Friday January 8th or before

SATURDAY JANUARY 2nd REHEARSAL (UPDATED 12/30/09)

10:00am —Meet at Trinity Episcopal Church, 211 Walnut Street, Muscatine

Individual mock interviews & Workshop rotations with all contestants.  The rotations will be Community Service/Platform, Interview Critique, Talent & Wardrobe.  Each contestant will rotate around to these various stations for assistance in these areas.  This is your time to receive final suggestions. Please make sure you have everything you need to perform your talent.  We need to review and time each talent.  **Must turn in your talent CD's at this rehearsal.  Must be on CD, first and only track on the CD.  Please label with "Teen Contestant #", Name and Talent Title.
 

2:00pmTravel to CLASS Studio for production rehearsal-BRING REHEARSAL ATTIRE.  Opening number shoes REQUIRED

Production rehearsal at CLASS (701 Orange Street) with producer, Bruce Brown.  Your attendance is important and your spot in production will NOT be guaranteed unless you attend production rehearsal.  Should you have any questions regarding production please contact Kindra.

FRIDAY JANUARY 8TH SCHEDULE 

4pm Stage Door Opens

4:30-5:45 Talent and Opening Rehearsal

Dress rehearsal will begin at 6pm SHARP at the Muscatine Performing Arts Center!  Dress rehearsal and the competition are held at the Muscatine Performing Arts Center at Central Middle School located on the corner of Cedar and 9th Streets (901 Cedar Street).  The parking lot faces 9th Street.  Contestants will be allowed to enter the stage door at 4pm to prepare themselves for dress rehearsal.  There will also be a 4:30pm talent and opening number rehearsal.

No one may accompany you during rehearsals and no one may come into the auditorium to watch.  You should arrive or be dropped off at the stage door and may use a cell phone to call your ride, if necessary, when we are finished.  Please have your complete wardrobe and your hair and make-up done as it will be during competition so that we may make suggestions based on the lighting, etc.  

It will NOT be safe to leave any items in the dressing rooms overnight.  Please take everything with you.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  Dressing room space is tight.  Be organized and efficient.  NOTE: There may be preliminary video taping, please keep cell phones off or on silent mode.  Thank you for your cooperation.

SATURDAY JANUARY 9TH SCHEDULE

Interviews will be held at the Muscatine Holiday Inn in the BOARD ROOM by the Harvest Ballroom on Saturday January 9thPlease be AT LEAST 15 MINUTES EARLY to your interview. 

Teen Interviews: 6 Minutes Standing at Podium, no intro or closing.

Teen #1 - 9:00am; be there by 8:45am

Teen #2 - 9:10am; be there by 8:55am

Teen #3 - 9:20am; be there by 9:05am

Teen #4 - 9:30am; be there by 9:15am

Teen #5 - 9:40am; be there by 9:25am

In the late afternoon you will be allowed to enter through the stage door at the auditorium to prepared for the evening competition.  Someone should be there by 3-3:30pm.
